Duties:
• Assist journeyman carpenters with measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing materials.
• Support the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials.
• Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and building plans to meet project specifications.
• Safely use hand and power tools to shape, smooth, and finish surfaces.
• Inspect work areas and help repair or replace damaged framework or structural components.
• Work collaboratively with the construction team to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to quality standards.
Experience & Qualifications:
• Previous experience in carpentry or construction is an asset but not required.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and techniques is considered an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and building plans.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Physically capable of heavy lifting and performing manual labour in a construction environment.
• Motivated to learn, develop skills, and progress within the carpentry trade.
